Happy Peepster 2014!

My internet decided not to work all day until now so this Easter greeting is more belated than I planned.

Today is Easter! This is one of my favorite times of the year because people are often thinking of me. And why is that? Because they see Peeps! Everywhere! Dunkin Donuts has recently gotten into the spring spirit with this adorable limited time donut.
I've received links to many articles lately featuring Peeps.

The annual diorama contest held by the Washington Post has just finished up. This year's winner takes Peeps back in history to Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have A Dream" speech.

One of the finalists created this take on Everybody Poops titled "Everybody Peeps." Now you know where marshmallow creme comes from!

I recently gave centerPeeps making another try. If you take a look at Pinterest you'll find many versions of this idea.

So remember, there is always a use for Peeps! Even if you don't like to eat them or roast them, the possibilities are endless.

Or you can always send them to me. :-) I'll add them to the pile.

I hope you all enjoyed your Easter whether that included any celebration, Peeps, or just a nice weekend day to sleep in.

A Happy New Year from 'N Sync

Wishing a safe and happy New Year to all my friends!

I wish I was spending my New Year's Eve at Peepfest in Pennsylvania. Yep, it's a thing.

If you're lucky, you may have someone to ring in the new year with.

If you're really lucky, you may be starting off the year doing what we all love.

Whatever you're doing, stay safe! And good luck on those resolutions!

Here's to the end of the holiday season! See you all next year!

If you're new here, you may not realize that I like Peeps. It began as just an ordinary interest and I'd get them at Easter or occasionally buy them at other times and thought they were tasty. It became known as something I liked and I'd get random messages from friends that they saw Peeps at a store and thought of me, or they even bought them and gave them to me. Then I began to have more and more Peeps stuff, discovered the opening of a Peeps store in Pennsylvania not far from the area I visit, and the rest is history.

One thing I didn't yet own was a nearly 3 foot tall plush Peeps bunny priced at a ridiculous $150. Yeah, the Peeps store is like Disney prices. It's all about that branding. On Thanksgiving weekend, I got an email from Peeps and Company that there was a big sale. The giant plush animals were included in the sale and half off! I linked it on Facebook and wrote, mostly joking, that I only needed 10 friends to send $7 and one could finally be mine.

Guess what? They did! I started getting messages from different friends that they'd pledge $7 and many being out of state asked for my address to send some money. There were enough offers that a pink bunny was ordered and everyone came through. I was getting cards in the mail with cash and checks and several local friends contributing as well. Have I mentioned that I have some really awesome friends? I do. <3 <3 <3

I was pretty minimal on Christmas shopping this year. Being poor makes that decision easy. Lol. I got something for S and for L and then my parents. That was it. I saw S a few days before Christmas and I received some Peeps related gifts from him too! The latest 2014 Peeps calendar and a really cool neon beanbag type throw pillow. Thank you again, S.

Earlier that same night, I got home from work to find a gift bag hanging on the door. I opened it and found a gift box of Peeps with a plush Elf Peep in it. I still have not figured out who the secret Santa is. Nobody is fessing up!

A few days before Christmas and I already had some great Peeps gifts. Then it was finally time... Christmas day!

I went to my parents house to open the gigantic box that had arrived earlier in the week. And I finally had my Peep! Some people thought it was edible. Nooo. Even I couldn't handle that much sugar. It's plush and cuddly!

And it came with a Peeps storybook! I don't have a name for her yet. Suggestions have included Amanda Peep and Justin Timberpeep. (Okay, that last one was my idea.)

I took a picture with all my plush Peeps together. If there's always one smaller one next to the big one they could be Peepy and the Brain!

My holiday season was complete and definitely full of Peeps! December has been a rough month. Work gets completely insane, lots of stress, money issues, loneliness (though not as bad as last year which was my first "single person" Christmas in a long time). I really appreciate everyone who enabled  supported a seemingly silly Christmas wish. It means a lot to me. I hope all my friends, near and far, have had happy holidays as well!

The Twelve Days Of Fucking Christmas

December can be rough. Some people just seem to lose their damn minds when the holidays approach. This is my Twelve Days of Christmas parody on some of the annoyances that we've all probably encountered at this time of year. Except the Peeps. Those are not an annoyance. Enjoy!

Halloween 2013!

This is my belated Halloween party recap. Then I will get to my belated SCONY weekend recap! This past month has been busy, busy, busy and there have been parties left and right. Last weekend was the annual Halloween party/fundraiser for the Wasatch Academy for the Refinement of Ladies and Gentleman of Leather and co-hosted by NLA-U. I wish I'd taken some pics before all the people arrived because the house looked fabulous. The decorations were great as was the food, as always.

I helped at the door for check-ins for the first part of the party until S and I went downstairs to find some room to play before it got really packed. I kneeled on the spanking bench and he moved my skirt out of the way. (Met the 10 second rule.) He'd left his toy bag upstairs so his hand got a good workout. He gave me a long warmup before spanking me much harder with his hand. It was stingy and had me squirming already. His hand has really gotten harder since we first met. Guess that's what happens when you're regularly seeing a spanko, huh? I've created a monster!

After a while I think his hand got tired and I heard him unbuckle his belt. Ah, that sound... I glanced back at him as he pulled it through the loops and removed it. It struck my bottom several times as he built up the intensity. I was struggling to keep my hands down on the other side of the bench as I twisted from side to side. It was really stinging and I wasn't so quiet at that point. He gave me a few more strokes and then stopped and rubbed my bottom. I got up and gave him a hug and then returned upstairs.

There were a lot of people who had arrived already and many interesting costumes. I actually went as my friend L because I thought that would be funny but not everyone was getting it. And I was accused of not showing enough cleavage. Oh well, you can't please everyone. I spent quite a bit of time outside throughout the night to take a break from the crowd. J had a fire built and started it for me so I could roast my Peeps. Thank you, J! Because that's a completely normal thing to do at a play party, right? I'm happy when people humor me (some may say enable) and that really made my night and kept me preoccupied.

A few folks tried a roasted Peep for the first time and they ALL agreed it was pretty good. Why don't people believe me to begin with? Some refused to try but I won't give up on educating the world about the deliciousness that is the Peep. There was a TSA agent roaming about the party who frisked me and gave me a spanking. We caught up with each other at the end of the night before he was leaving and had a sort of reverse intensity scene. I bent over a nearby ottoman and he spanked me with a wooden paddle he had. That elicited a quick verbal response from me and after some more swats with that he switched to using his hand. That was not much lighter than the wood but I don't think I pointed that out at the moment. My bottom was reddened up so mission accomplished. This pic was taken after. That was the end of my adventures for the night. Thanks to all who made it a great party!

Why I Love Fall

The time is coming! October is almost here! It's finally one of my favorite times of the year. Don't you just love fall?

Football!

Pretty colors!

Campfires! (Which means Peeps roasts!)

Great temperatures with heat of summer gone but not yet stuck with snow!

Corn mazes!

Silly pumpkin carving!

Delicious seasonal coffee!

Delicious seasonal foods!

Haunted houses!

Cuddling is the best when it gets cool!

What is the best thing about October? Well anyone who has read here for a while knows what is coming next.

HALLOWEEN PEEPS!

Oh wait. Is that not what you thought I was going to say? There is something else and the 30 day countdown has begun. SCONY's Mountain Weekend!

I'm so excited to see all my friends again and meet some new ones. SCONY makes me think of the theme song from Cheers. It is the one place I can go and be surrounded by friends and people actually remember my freaking name (and say it right, unless they're just being jerks)!

Where Everybody Knows Your Name

Making your way in the world today takes everything you've got.
Taking a break from all your worries sure would help a lot.

Wouldn't you like to get away?

Sometimes you want to go

Where everybody knows your name,
and they're always glad you came.
You wanna be where you can see,
our troubles are all the same
You wanna be where everybody knows
Your name.

You wanna go where people know,
 people are all the same,
You wanna go where everybody knows
your name.

A very fitting song, I think. 28 more days, my friends! (And check out the countdown clock I added on the top right!) What do you love about fall?

Lea And The Giant Peep

Sunday of my recent SCONY Mountain Weekend trip was one of the most amazing days I've ever had. This is at long last the final post about that trip. In my last post, I talked about some spankings, some goodbyes, and a surprise visit from Santa. In the middle of the day there was a visit to the Peeps store. Yes, there is a freaking Peeps store! People seem to be surprised by this. Why is there a Peeps store? I think the correct question is, why not?

Note- I am not endorsed by Just Born or any of the Peeps people for my opinion about how awesome their stuff is. I'm just a girl, standing in front of a Peeps store, asking it to love her. Or something... (That is the only time you'll hear me quote anything from a Hugh Grant movie. Blech.)

Outside the Peeps store!

There are only 3 Peeps stores in the entire U.S. Sadly, none are out west by me. National Harbor, MD was the first one opened just outside of Washington, D.C. I'm not sure why this is since the home of Peeps and it's main factory resides in Bethlehem, PA. But in February of this year, 2 more retail stores opened. One at the Mall of America in Minnesota and one in Bethlehem, PA. Bingo!

I was saddened in the past to learn that the Peeps factory does not allow tours because of FDA regulations or something. Otherwise I would've already made a trip happen. News of this store opening had me all excited and I talked to my friend R about the possibility of visiting during the mountain weekend. It's about an hour from where we stay. She said we could make it happen. *excitedly clapping*

Arriving at the mall

Sunday has a bit more downtime after a lot of people check out or rest so we left in the early afternoon. R very kindly drove and M came along too for the crazy ride. It took under an hour and seemed to fly by. The store is located in an outlet mall outside of the Sands Casino so was very easy to find. When we pulled up and I saw the signs it was kind of like that moment when you are first
riding Space Mountain waiting to see what comes.
We went into the mall and quickly located the Peeps and Company store. I was already taking pictures and had R take one with me standing in front of it. Walking in, it was like the movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. There was stuff everywhere. Every bit of merchandise you could possibly think of. Incredible store design. And a very happy employee already giving us samples of things. Lemonade and bubble gum were the special promotional flavors.

Lea and the Giant Peep
One of the first things I saw in a display window was the above giant pink bunny. I immediately picked it up and got some pictures. The store employee said, "With being after Easter, everything in the store is 30% off. You can get that for just $105." Just $105? For a stuffed animal? Yowzer! Don't be fooled by my height though, that bunny is about 3 feet tall. It was pretty awesome. If anyone really wants to get me one, my birthday is in August. Giant Bunnies. :-D

I thanked her for the information and continued going around photographing every single part of the store and all the merchandise. Though not a giant store, it took a while. I'm glad that they had no problem with it as some stores do not allow you to take photos or will kick you out. I had been a bit worried about that. A giant chick plush Peep was also there so I couldn't leave it out.

Lea and another Giant Peep

They have adult clothing but also lots of stuff for kids and even babies.

There were many displays featuring different flavors of Peeps and Peep Pops.

There were tons of plush Peeps in varying sizes and colors, even plaid! And these ones are under $10, woohoo!

A center display is topped with a giant Peep that changed colors throughout our visit.

Thermoses, mugs, clothing.

Really cool looking wall selling Peepsters chocolates in bulk.

Just Born, the company who makes Peeps, also produces Hot Tamales, Mike and Ike, and Peanut Chews.

You could put your hand on the Hot Tamales thing and buzzers would sound off  and the meter would tell you how hot you are. Must be really annoying to the employees all day. Lol.

Mike and Ike flip flops anyone? I was actually wearing my Peeps flip flops during this visit and the employee saw them and said they don't make them anymore. I'm holding onto them forever!

They also had giant boxes of Mike and Ike.

When I say they had everything, I mean everything. Peeps scented glitter nail polish. Yeah, it's a thing.

The center of the Peepsiverse.

Peeps rode a video rollercoaster above the register.

Bunnies, stickers, notepads, and art supplies.

When I finished all my pictures and started scooping up stuff to buy, I quickly realized I could not carry it all. I almost wanted to go ask someone "uh, do you have a cart?" M got me a bag to help.

I wanted to get a little bit of everything but luggage space was a concern. I tried to aim for a bunch of small-ish things so I could get it all home. I still left with a lot. I must've been the easiest sale they ever had. Lol. Once I was grabbing everything, one employee would bring me more stuff. "Oh I see you got the metal keychain. Did you see the plush keychains over here?" Me- "Sure, add it on!"

What I went home with: Plush bunny, plush chick, set of tumblers with straws, lip gloss/balm sets in strawberry and watermelon, scented glitter nail polish, magnetic memo pad, notepad, pen, metal keychain, plush keychain, nail file, blue magnet, a container of Peepsters for L, matching BFF bracelets for me and L, and of course, Peeps. (Thank god for the sale, right?) My bags were totally full so most of the edible stuff had to be mailed back to me. Thank you Joey for doing that.
It was an awesome visit to the Peeps store and may just have to become an annual thing. Gotta restock on stuff, ya know? Sorry to everyone remaining at the weekend who had to hear me talk about it for the rest of the night and the next day while carrying my bag of stuff around with me. Even Mr. R patiently sat through me showing him all my pictures and stuff and said "I think you're crazy, but I'm happy for you." :-D

A big thank you to my dear friend R for making the trip possible. It was really out of the way and I appreciate you still taking us. She told me it was no problem and seeing the look on my face was like taking a kid to Disneyland for their first time. <3 <3 Man, I have some great friends. Enablers? Yes. But still great. Lol. It made leaving that much harder. I can't wait to see everyone again in October.
