Wishful Thinking

I wish that I was the kind of person who did something productive when stressed, like cleaning my house or going for a run.

I wish I could make everyone happy.

I wish I reacted better under pressure.

I wish everyone I love was always in good health.

I wish Peeps were available year round.

I wish I was stronger.

I wish Utah could be picked up and dropped off closer to New York.

I wish all my friends were closer.

I wish I could win the lottery and quit my job.

I wish I could quit my job, period.

I wish I could meet James Spader.

I wish my mind could stop running long enough to let me sleep.

I wish that I was someone who could perceive the glass as half full.

Speaking of glasses, I wish that eggnog wasn't just seasonal.

I wish I didn't have to so often hide a part of myself.

I wish I received one spanking per day...

And at least two hugs.

I wish I wasn't so OCD about having an even number of lines to feel the need to add this line.

Did I already mention the Peeps?

It's all just wishful thinking.

Sweetest lea,

It gives me enormous pleasure to advise you of the home where peeps reside year around:

www.marshmallowpeeps.com

There you will find a variety of products, including current Halloween peeps, other holiday peeps and soon-to-hit-the-shelves of a market near you, both dark and light chocolate coated chick peeps.

There is so much information and fun activities at the website for... um, people like you. You can select and make purchases from a large variety of peep products, find a collection of peep recipes and even take a virtual tour of Peep Land.

So, what are you waiting for? Get going! Enjoy! Have fun!

Great wish list lea. I wish I was spanked every day also. But, most of all I wish I could see my friends that live far away more often.
One wish that has come true, many good friends like you who I can interract with on the WWW. They brighten my day with fun posts and emails and lively chat. I guess I am a glass half full type of person.
Hug,
joey

As I'm sure you already know, I relate to many of these.

But honey... have you SEEN James Spader lately? Oy. What's happened to him??

Did you steal the eggnog one from me on the pet peeve thread? >:(

BTW, I SOOOO wish I was the kind of person in your first wish as well!

Lea, I am forced to interject here.

"I wish that I was someone who could perceive the glass as half full." Hmmmm...could have fooled me. Wait you did fool me and everyone else in the world. Also newbies do not cling to people who do not see the glass as half full.

You can have eggnog whenever you want. You can make it yourself. I have an excellent recipe if you want it.

I wish you received one spanking and ten hugs per day.

You did not have OCD with this post. You had FHAMOTOAWST. (Fingers Have A Mind Of Their Own And Won't Stop Typing.) It's one of the symptoms of writer's disease.

This does not refer to this post Lea, but other goings on in cyberspace lately....

Notice how the above acronym is very similar to this one - WHAMOTOAST. (Wily Headed Aesthetic Minds Opting Towards Optimally Spanked Tails.)

Just a bit of humor attempted on my part. ;)

Oh and Lea, I feel obliged to help you reach some of your daily quota that I wished for you each day for today....HUG, HUG, HUG, HUG, HUG, HUG, HUG, HUG, HUG, HUG. :)

Sorry, forgot the other A in WHAMOTOAST, It should be Acute.

Love your wish list Lea. I haven't a clue what Peeps is so I'll have to look it up.

Enjoy your weekend.

@Mikki, A glass half full of eggnog, yes I think I can imagine that.

@eileen, Thank you for the link, that is just fabulous. Someone better send me a Peeps e-card for whatever special occasion comes up next. Awesome.

@kiwi and @ronnie, Based on your comments they must only be sold in the U.S. It's a type of candy that is basically marshmallows coated in sugar. They come in a variety of shapes such as chicks, bunnies, ghosts, all depending on the season. Very popular at Easter in the U.S.

@joey, You are definitely a glass half full type of person. I wouldn't want to get to close to you early in the morning. ;-)

@Erica, Yes, his presence on The Office finally got me started on watching that show. It's been quite funny but yes he isn't looking so great these days. But I said I want to meet him, not sleep with him. ;-) All the cigars and booze have caught up to our dear Alan Shore.

@sarah, No I hadn't seen that yet but I totally agree on the eggnog!

@bree, Did I have people clinging to me? I think my key to remaining tolerable to others is knowing how to balance smart ass and sweet. ;-) I would love your eggnog recipe if you'd care to send it to me. I've tried and failed at many others. *hugs back* Thank you.

I absolutely agree with Erica...

Who ever would imagine that William Shatner would come out looking more attractive and fit than James Spader after 7 seasons of Boston Legal. And throwing him into the mix of The Office may have disastrous repercussions. After putting together a program that a lot of people finally "get," [especially in New Jersey] it would be a shame to see our beloved, sexy, cerebral Alan Shore blow their ratings out of the water!

@lea I made a point of not going near you before noon all weekend. LOL.

@Lea That is very balanced of you, indeed.

Sorry, cling was not the word I really wanted to use. I think I have been seeing too many Swiffer commercials and the dust and dirt people clinging to the mop just got stuck in my head. I couldn't think of another word at that moment. It resulted in another exaggeration on my part, Lea. I should have used the word gravitate.

Lea said...

@eileen, I never watched The Office until he was added to the cast for this current season. I've found it quite funny. Not sure how the ratings have been.

@joey, Thank you for that. ;-)I don't feel I slept in that late, but usually by the time I made it to breakfast everybody else was done. Not sure what that was about.

@bree, Lol I know the commercials that you mean. I'm not sure who was gravitating toward me, unless they were wanting to borrow my disguise. And seriously, would you mind emailing me your eggnog recipe? That'd be great. :-D
